Conditions of let

  1. When you confi rm your booking by the payment of a deposit you are entering into a contract between you the visitor and Ms Sally Hailey. Please read the following conditions of let carefully and ask for an explanation of any point that may be unclear to you.
  2. By signing the booking form you declare you have read and will abide by the conditions therein. If any of the conditions of let are contravened, the owner or their representative has the right to deny access to the chalet and no money will be refunded.
  3. The person who signs the booking form must be over 18 years and will be responsible for ensuring that the conditions of let are adhered to, for any loss or damage to the accommodation and the contents, given fair wear and tear, however caused during the rental period.
  4. Your booking must be for holiday purposes only. The chalet must not be used for any other purposes unless by prior agreement.
  5. The number of people sleeping in the chalet or grounds must not exceed those named on the booking form.
  6. A fi rm booking will be made on receipt of a completed booking form and deposit to the value of 25% of the total rental due. The visitor is then liable for payment of the balance of the total sum due. The remainder of balance due should be sent to Ms Sally Hailey four weeks prior to arrival.
  7. We do not undertake to remind you of the balance due date. If the balance is not received within 28 days prior to arrival the let will be cancelled and the visitor will forfeit their deposit.
  8. A receipt for the final balance will only be issued on request.
  9. If you plan to take your holiday within 4 weeks of your booking please enclose full payment with your form. For bookings made within two weeks of arrival full cash payment must be made.
  10. You are required to pay a separate housekeeping deposit, which is returned in full subject to the chalet being left clean tidy and without damage. The cheque will be banked 7 days before arrival and returned 10 days following the let, subject to the conditions set out.
  11. If, for any reason, you have to cancel your booking you will forfeit a proportion of your payment. Up to 4 weeks prior to arrival – deposit forfeited. Up to 21 days prior to arrival – 60% forfeited Up to 14 days prior to arrival – 80% forfeited. Unfortunately we are unable to make any refund if you cancel within seven days of your date of arrival.
  12. If for any reason the accommodation is not available to you on the dates booked due to events beyond our reasonable control then all sums paid to us by the visitor will be refunded. We will have no further liability to the visitor or any other party.
  13. The landlord their agents or employees, accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any member of the visitor’s party or their property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner out of the let of the premises.
  14. Please note: the chalet is strictly non smoking.
